Our History & Mission
We began in 1997 with one site in the basement of a church in Pacific Beach, where an excellent program was working with the street homeless, called Harvest for the Hungry. Now we have expanded to four sites, including three community churches and a public school, and are open somewhere each day of the week. Our program is possible because of our remarkable and long-standing community partners and donations from individuals like you.

The passion of the medical, pharmacy, and dental students is key to the success of our program. They arrive at UC San Diego with passion, compassion, and a desire to make a difference, and we keep it alive.

Who are we?
We are pharmacy students at the UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and members of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) student organization at the school.
Phun Run is CSHP-UCSD's largest annual fundraising event. All funds raised through registration and donation go towards the four UCSD Student-Run Free Clinics located throughout the city of San Diego, where we provide healthcare to underserved and uninsured individuals—free of charge.
